Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Highlights | 'Our party was founded in Mumbai; will serve it well': PM Modi after Mumbai roadshow
Good afternoon readers. With completion of four phase of polling, parties and political leaders are turning up the heat with all kinds of rhetoric, rallies & roadshows. Calling Narendra Modi the 'outgoing prime minister', Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh on Wednesday claimed the polling held so far clearly indicates that the BJP has been 'wiped out' from south India and reduced to half in the rest of the country. Meanwhile, in a joint press conference held by the Congress and SP, the Congress chief asserted that the opposition I.N.D.I.A. bloc is in a strong position after four phases of Lok Sabha polls and that the people of the country are prepared to bid farewell to Prime Minister Modi. On the other hand, Amit Shah and Himanta Biswa Sarma have announced that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir will be 'merged with India' if BJP gets more than 400 seats in the Lok Sabha polls. Thanks for tracking all the latest updates with DH.

Lok Sabha Elections 2024 Highlights: If their atom bomb is to throw, then ours is not to keep in fridge, says UP CM Yogi on Mani Shankar Aiyar's Pak remark
As the country braces for the fifth phase of the general election, which will take place on May 20 across 49 constituencies in six states and two Union Territories, Prime Minister Narendra Modi filed his nomination from UP's Varanasi today. The election rallies have reached their peak with the parties trading charges against each other. PM Modi was in Jharkhand after filing the nomination, while Amit Shah and Mamata locked horns in Bengal. Mamata also courted controversy after she offered to 'cook something for him (Modi)' if he wanted though she was not sure whether he would eat what she cooked. BJP termed it a 'political agenda' and the CPI(M) dubbed it as an 'understanding' between the TMC and the saffron party. Thank you for staying with us as we tracked all these developments.
