Modi finds spl bond between Gujarat and Karnataka
DH News Service, Puttur/Karkala:
Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi had several points in his speech which, according to him, were the examples to say that coastal belt and Gujarat have a special bond.

Both in Puttur and Karkala, while addressing BJP election campaign on Sunday he mentioned the relationship between Karnataka and Gujarat in terms of areca trade.  Mr Modi said when areca growers were in crisis in Karnataka, it was Gujarat government that came forward to help the farmers by purchasing the same.
He also said though hecame from Gujarat the land of Dwaraka to Karnataka of late, Lord Krishna had come here thousands of year back and located himself at Udupi to bless the people of the State.
‘Congress irrelavant’
Criticising that the Congress-led UPA government has totally failed in controlling inflation, terrorism and Naxalism, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi said Congress has become totally irrelavant in the country.

Calling Congress as a ‘rodent in the root of the democracy’, Mr Modi said no development could be achieved in the nation due to the faulty policies of Congress.

Congress came to power in the Centre on the basis of its assurances to the poor. But now it has forgotten them, who are suffering under raising prices of necessary commodities, he said. Instead of requesting the Opposition parties not to drag the price escalation issue, let the prime minister ponder over controlling the inflation, he said.
