KSOU courses
Karnataka State open University has started courses of B.Sc. (IT) and M.Sc (IT) for the academic year 2007-08 in KLE Society's, S Nijalingappa College study centre.
B.S.c (IT): a) a candidate who has completed 10+2 or its equivalent or 3-years Polytechnic diploma after 10th standard can enroll for the 1st semester of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology - B.Sc.(IT).
b) After successful completion of the Ist semester, the candidate will be eligible to obtain a Certificate in Information Technology.
c) After successful completion of the first two semesters, the candidate will be eligible to obtain Diploma in Information Technology (DIT)
d) After successful completion of the first four semesters, the candidate will be eligible to obtain Advanced Diploma in Information Technology (ADIT).
e) After successful completion of the six semesters of B.Sc. (IT), the candidate will be eligible to obtain the degree of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology [B.Sc. (IT) ]. The candidate is then eligible to join the Ist semester of the Master of Science in Information Technology-M.Sc.(IT)
M.Sc.(IT): a. Graduates in any discipline with at least a 6 month certificate course in computers or I year IT-experience are eligible for direct admission to the Ist semester of the Master of Science in Information Technology- M.Sc.(IT)
or, b. Graduates in BCA /BIT/BE/B.Tech./AMIE/B.Sc. (Corrip.Sc) are eligible for direct admission to the Ist semester of M.Sc.(IT) or,
c. Graduates in any discipline, who have not done any IT or related courses, can get direct admission to M.Sc.(IT) Ist Semester by doing the Foundation Course concurrently with M.Sc. (IT) 1st Semester or separately as a pre - requisite Course.
d. After successful completion of the first two semesters of M.Sc. (IT), candidates will be eligible to obtain Post-Graduate Diploma in Information Technology (PGDIT)
