Plaudits for performance
DHNS

Nineteen-year-old Danish Sait surely did India proud at the just concluded World Championship of Performing Arts-2007 in Hollywood Hills, Los Angeles, US, where he competed with people from across 50 countries.
This talented actor, emcee and stand up comedian brought home the Industrial Award and a gold medal. A student of Visual communications at GRD Institute, Coimbatore, Danish says he never expected to win and do so well. It was a roller coaster ride, eyes watching you all the time and the pressure to perform. We were being judged by Hollywood's top agents -
It has been a life-changing experience, especially if you are one brown guy from a country like India, that is rich in heritage and culture the stakes just get higher". He feels lucky to be blessed with a supportive family - mother and sister.
He never thought life would take such a rapid and random twist as he met the National Director of WCOPA — Dr Samir Mohammed on a casual visit in Dubai. Danish was then proposed to expose his talent in this competion, which also gave him the mileage to be a part of the Olympics for Performing Arts WCOPA.
Danish gives due credit to his learning at The Coorg Public School and Buoyancee Centre, Jayanagar. He also schooled at FAPS, Bangalore, till Class X.
Participating in the WCOPA was a new milestone in his upcoming career. His earlier stint was exposure thru a Youth Exchange Team where he hosted a series of shows in UK and the US, says his mother Yasmin Sait.
The opening ceremony was conducted at the City Walk and was compered by Bob Eu Banks. Also present at the event was the President of World Stars Mr Griff O Neil. The governer of US Arnold Schwarznegger backs this event.
This is an annual event in the US and recognizes diverse talent from all over the world such as acting, singing, dancing etc. It was held in July-end. For details log on to www.wcopa.com
