E-tickets for bus travel
Via has introduced the revolutionary concept of automatic ticket vending machines as an easy and handy means of booking tickets for customers. Payment can be through credit card or cash paid to the person manning the kiosk. Introduced by a city based travel services company, ‘Via’ the first of such kiosks was inaugurated at Garuda mall last week. For the first time ever in the country, bus tickets can now be booked online at conveniently located kiosks. Via aims to locate these kiosks across the country in high traffic areas such as malls, railway stations and bus stations.
Speaking on the occasion, Via Director Amit Aggarwal said, “This is a transparent and non-biased means of booking tickets, since it is all done in real time. The customer can select seats, the pick-up point and mode of payment. At the completion of the transaction, the machine will generate e-tickets which can be used to board the bus at the selected pick-up point. For more information log on to www.via justgo.com.
Pre-owned cars
Mysore Sales International Limited, in association with Olety Carz Private Limited, has entered the automobile industry with the launch of pre-owned cars at affordable prices. Launching the sale of the first car recently, MSIL Managing Director Meera Saksena was quoted as saying in a press release that the company has diversified into several new business activities to compensate for the loss of business in its traditional markets of lottery tickets and distribution of IMFL.
The facilities launched, according to the company, include certified pre-owned cars, car exchange, re-finance, top-up loans and an opportunity to deal directly with buyers and sellers. The company has also tied up with ICCI bank to provide car loans on the spot.
