New offers for Visa cardholders
Visa International and Travelguru on Monday announced in Mumbai that Visa cardholders who make bookings for domestic airlines and hotels listed on Travelguru could enjoy up to 50 per cent cashback on their travel bookings. The cashback offer is valid till December 31, ’07 and can be availed by booking on the travelguru.com site or by calling the Travelguru reservation centre. While Visa Signature cardholders can enjoy 50 per cent cashback on airline bookings and 25 per cent cashback on hotel bookings, Visa Platinum cardholders can enjoy 25 per cent cashback on airlines and hotel bookings. All other Visa cardholders can enjoy 7.5 per cent cashback on airline bookings and 15 per cent cashback on hotel bookings. Auto majors win IMTMA awards
Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) on Monday announced the IMTMA - SIEMENS Productivity Championship Awards 2007. The winners were chosen after an evaluation of over 200 nominations during the productivity summit 2007 organised recently by IMTMA in Bangalore. Subscriber base of CDMA-based technology in the country has surpassed 50 million fixed and mobile device users only after four years the technology was introduced here, CDMA Development Group said on Monday, reports PTI from New Delhi.
It took more than ten years for GSM to reach the same number. India is an important showcase that demonstrate CDMA2000’s flexibility, performance and efficiency, CDFG Chief Operator Officer James Person said.According to CDG, the rapid expansion of CDMA2000 networks into the rural areas of India to deliver state-of-the-art telephone and broadband Internet access has been a primary factor in reaching the 50 million subscriber mark.
With upto 2.01 million net subscriber additions in June 2007, CDMA2000’s 5 per cent growth rate exceeded that of GSM, at 4.1 per cent.
