Preparations are in full flow all over the district for the 336th Aradhana Mahotsava of Raghavendra Swami which will begin from August 29 to 31.

Various religious and cultural programmes mark the three day Aradhana Mahotsava.  Special programmes have been organised at Raghavendra Mutt of Shettyhalli gate by Sri Raghavendra Seva Samithi. The main attraction of the Mutt, which is the silver car festival will be held on August 29 and 30 at 7 pm, stated a press release.

Everyday various religious ceremonies such as Panchamrutha Abhishekha, Archane, Hasthodaka, distribution of Theertha prasada will be held. After 7.15 pm, Rathotsava and Mahamangalarathi will be held.

Special ceremonies

Also special ceremonies like Kanakabhishekha, Sarvaseve, Padapuja, Pushpalankara, Alankara Seve, Samaradhane Seve, Phala panchamrutha Abhishekha, Ashotthara Purassara Pushparchane, Deppotsava have also been organised as part of the religious programme, said the release.

Various cultural programmes have been organised everyday at 6.30 pm. On August 28, Devaranamas have been organised by Haripriya Bhajana Mandali.

On 29, Music concert by Dr K S Vasudeva Murthy, August 30 Discourse by Mohanacharya, on August 31 devotional songs by Kodandarama Bhajan Mandali and on September 1, devotional songs by Akshata Bhaskar and on august 2 various programmes by Vindhya Kashyap and Radhamadhusudan will be held, added the release.

The Aradhana Mahotsava will be held at all Taluk Raghavendra Mutts from August 29 to 31. Thousands of devotees are expected to arrive for the Aradhana Mahotsava.
