ATHLETICS: World Championships conclude at Osaka on Sunday.
CRICKET: After conceding a 1-2 lead, India will be looking to hit back when they take on England in the fourth one-dayer at Manchester on Thursday  in a day-night affair. The fifth match will be held at Headingley on Sunday and the sixth at The Oval on Wednesday.
GOLF: Deutsche Bank Championship begins at Norton on Thursday.
Johnnie Walker Championship kicks off at Gleneagles on Thursday.
GYMNASTICS: World Championships begin in Stuttgart on Saturday.
HOCKEY: India will be hoping to mount a successful title defence when the Asia Cup commences in Chennai on Friday.
TENNIS: US Open, the last Grand Slam of the year, continues at the Flushing Meadows.
NATIONAL
FOOTBALL: Federation Cup commences in Ludhiana on Tuesday.
LOCAL/ STATE
HOCKEY: Super Division league begins at the KSHA stadium on September 1.
FOOTBALL: Super Division League will continue at the Bangalore Football Stadium.
