A hi-tech parking complex would be constructed at T Chennaiah Park in the City, on the lines of Kempegowda vehicle parking complex in Bangalore, informed Deputy Commissioner Subodh Yadav.
He spoke to media persons here on Thursday, after inspecting the files in the City Municipal Corporation.
He said, the parking system in the City has become unsystematic and haphazard. In order to set it right, a multi-floor parking complex was required in the City.
In this backdrop, the deputy commissioner had decided to take measures to set right the problem.
The DC informed that measures would also be taken to develop the parks in the City. The places marked for gardens and parks in the layouts would be reserved for the same and not for anything else.
He also instructed the City Municipal Corporation Commissioner to give detailed information about the total number of layouts in the City and also, how much of the space available in the City is marked for parks and gardens. The detailed report would be available within 15 days, the deputy commissioner informed.
Basic amenities
On the occasion, Commissioner of the City Municipal Corporation Kempahanumaiah informed that for the benefit of the travellers who arrive from other places to the City and for the public, modern and well-equipped four toilets would be constructed at the important places in the City.
He said, the court had ordered for a stay on the distribution of IDSMT sites. All the pros and cons in this regard would be discussed and later on, suitable measures would be taken, he added.
