MOVIES THIS WEEK

The Invasion (Eng)
A mysterious, mind-altering epidemic has infected mankind, and when a Washington DC psychiatrist discovers that the outbreak seems to be extraterrestrial in origin, she struggles to save her son from infection in this sci-fi thriller starring Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig, and directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel (Das Experiment). Everyone who comes into contact with it soon begins to transform in ways that can't be explained by modern science. While their physical appearance remains completely unaltered, their emotions seem to be drained and their actions become strangely inhuman.
Ram Gopal Varma ki Aag
It is a remake of the all time popular “Sholay.” Amitabh Bachchan shows his sinister side in the role of Gabbar Singh (originally played by Amjad Khan). Urmila attempts to don the role of Helen. Mohan Lal is performing the role of Sanjeev Kumar.
The movie is same as the old "Sholay". The only changes made here are the starcast. Remaining mostly everything remains the same. The story begins in some different way as per previous Sholay. Here the heroes come to Mumbai city for work and they work in a dance bar of Rajpal Yadav, playing the role of old Surma Bhopali. Then the story is same as previous one.
Dhoka (Hin)
Pooja Bhatt’s movie ‘Dhoka’ deals with the burning issue of terrorism. . ‘Dhoka’ introduces newcomer Muzammil Ibrahim in the male lead. He plays Zaid Ahmed, a young, city-bred cop in Mumbai. Zaid is totally devoted to his service and is respected for his dedication.
But one tragic incident changes his life forever. A bomb blast rocks the city. While Zaid helps the victims of the blast, his life shatters when he finds the dead body of his beautiful Kashmiri wife Sarah (Tulip Joshi).
At first it seems Sarah, too, is a terror victim. But investigations reveal that she was in fact the suicide bomber. This revelation completely shocks Zaid.
Although it is being speculated as a pro-Muslim film, Mahesh Bhatt asserts that it is basically pro-Indian and pro-humanity.
Ninade Nenapu (Kan)
Madan Patel directs son Mayur and London import Meghana (Maya) in Ninade Nenapu. Anant Nag and Pavitra Lokesh are also in the cast. Venus Murthy handles the camera while Adi (Mahesh) has set the tunes to Nagendra Prasad and Vishweshwar Bhat’s lyrics.
Nali Naliyuta (Kan)
After a successful outing in Satyavan Savitri, Aniruddh returns with newcomer Vidisha in this tale of a hard-working man who wants to lead an independent life.
Jayant directs the film while Rajesh Amarnath provides music and R Giri, camera.
