V Ruth Misha drubbed Ila Bhide 21-1, 21-4 to enter the quarterfinals in the girls U-19 category of the State badminton championship which got under way here at the US Mallya indoor stadium on Thursday.
Other fancied players like G M Nischitha, Jacqueline R Kunnath and Monisha Vinayak also made it to the last eight. While G M Nischitha prevailed over Uttara Prakash 21-7, 21-1, Monisha Vinayak breezed past Sadana Karanth 21-7, 21-9. 
Jacqueline, meanwhile, ran out a 21-3, 21-11 victor over Anshika Sinha while in a match that was slightly more keenly contested, Ashwini Ponnappa got the better pf Sayali Malgave 21-11, 21-12.
In the the boys section, Vikraman K A , along with seven others made it to the main draw.
