Agricultural exhibition and interaction between farmers and experts was appreciated by people.
Inaugurating the Krishi Mela Agriculture University Vice-Chancellor Dr Chengappa said that the farmers must become financially sound and succeed in their area by adopting latest agricultural techniques and by making use of the suggestion from the local research centres.
He opined that if scientists carry on their research based on the expreriences of the farmers and progressive farmers then the farmers can reap better benefits from such research.
He added that there is a greater need to conduct study on the local crops. Krishi Pandit Awardee and progressive farmer Arvind, Woman Progressive Farmer Award winner Saritha Raj Mohan spoke on the ocassion about their experiences.
Agricultural University administrative board Member Asha Sheshadri, Dr Parthasarathy, Devraj, Shankaregowda, Sampath Samrajya and others were present.
