Hold polls by Feb end, Yeddy's plea to Guv
Madikeri, DHNS:
Former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa urged the Governor to pressurise the Centre to conduct Assembly elections by the end of February.

Speaking at BJP Janajagrithi Yahthre in Madikeri, he flayed JD(S) Supremo H D Deve Gowda and former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy for forcing early election in the Karnataka State.

He said “the voters’ list will be ready by January and the Centre should make provision for the conduct of election by the end of February.”

He said “let Kumaraswamy cite an example where BJP has done injustice during the 20- month-long coalition government in the State. People of the State will teach a lesson to those leaders who did not hand over the power to BJP, in the forthcoming election.” He flayed the Kumaraswamy for implementing the whip during the floor test.

State BJP President D V Sadananda Gowda said “Karnataka is not Deve Gowda’s personal property for administration of the State by signing a memoradum in the stamp paper. The JD(S)’s future has come to an end after it did not hand over the power to BJP. The BJP will come to power on its own in the next election.”

Former minister Ramachandra Gowda said “Deve Gowda and Kumaraswamy are sysnonymus with breaking the promises. It is better to keep them away from politics than to externate them.” He said Mr Yeddyurappa’s budget will be written in the pages of Karnataka history.

SOLUTION TO BAANE LAND

Former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa said Jamma Baane land issue will be solved within 24 hours of BJP coming to power. He said: “I have tried my level best to earmark Rs 50 crore and Rs 100 core for the development of the Kodagu district in my two budgets. Kodagu will be converted into a model village, if BJP comes to power in the future.” He said a survey for the airport in Kushalnagar is on. All the support will be given for the train service to Kodagu.”
