Was the West Bengal government right in nudging controversial Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen into leaving Kolkata? Should the Centre extend political asylum or Indian citizenship to her as she says she can’t go back to Dhaka?

Most readers opine that persuading Taslima Nasreen to leave the state was an extreme move and that granting asylum is humane although extending citizenship to her is debatable. A few others insist that she must now return home to Dhaka as her views have hurt the sentiments of Muslims.
