One more case has been filed against actress Kushboo for “defiling place of worship and hurting religious sentiments.”
The Hindu Munnai local secretary Ramamurthy filed the case in the judicial magistrate court here under Section 295 and 296 of the IPC. According to officials, the case has been registered.
B R Kumar, an activist of Hindu Makkal Katchi, filed a case in a court at Chennai on Friday, alleging she had disrespected Hindu Gods by having sat cross-legged and worn slippers in front of the idols of Goddesses at a film ‘muhurat’ there. The case was adjourned till December 5. On Wednesday, another Hindu Munnani activist had lodged a complaint against the actress, alleging that she had disrespected Hindu gods by sitting with her slippers in front of the idols of Goddesses Lakshmi, Sarswathy and Parvathy during pooja for the muhurat in Chennai on November 22.
