Defending champion Jeev Milkha Singh moved up one place to tied second and was trailing the leader Shingo Katayama of Japan by five shots at the end of the second round of the Golf Nippon Series JT Cup on Friday.
Jeev shot a two-under 68 and moved to three-under 137, while Katayama shot a four-under 66 and is eight-under 132 after the second round at the par-70 Tokyo Yomiuri Country Club.
Chopra tied 15th
Swede Daniel Chopra turned in a steady one-under 71 to be tied 15th after the second round of the $1.1 million New Zealand Open golf tournament here on Friday, adds PTI from Queenstown.
Chopra now has a total of three-under 141 at the par-72 Hills Golf Club.
At the top, Australian Steven Bowditch took sole lead with a total of 134 after returning a seven-under 65.
Atwal sixth
Arjun Singh continued to be the leading Indian but he was joined by Harmeet Kahlon in the top-10 of the Johnnie Walker Cambodian Open on Friday, adds IANS from Siem Reap.
Arjun shot a two-under 70 to total seven-under 135 and moved to tied sixth. Behind Arjun was Kahlon, who carded a second straight 69 for a total of six-under 136 in tied seventh.
American Bryan Saltus fired a five-under-par 67 to share the lead with Adam Groom of Australia.
Other Indians who made the cut are Gurbaaz Mann (tied 34th), Rahul Ganapathy (47th), Amandeep Johl, Rahil Gangjee, Vikrant Chopra and Gaganjeet Bhullar (all tied 54th).
