Pakistan aim to restrict India
Kolkata, dhns:
Pakistan's middle-order batsman Faisal Iqbal said the aim of his team on the second day will be to curb the Indian batsmen from stacking up a huge total.

"Our aim is to restrict India in the morning session tomorrow. We need to restrict them to a manageable total. In Test cricket, every day is a new game. So it is too early to predict anything," Iqbal said here on Friday.
But he admitted that it was a tough day for Pakistan on the field. "It was tough to field the whole day. Our bowlers tired their best, and Test cricket is all about giving one’s best always."

On Shoaib Akhtar's bowling, he said, "In the morning, I think the team management discussed about his inclusion in the team. He was fit then that is why he was played. All 11 players in the team are fit and playing.

"I think there was a fitness problem because he was not well for the last three-four days. But his recovery was amazing. The pace at which he bowled today was good and he showed so much aggression. It was a plus point for Pakistan," he added.

On the exceptional knock of Wasim Jaffer he said, "Wasim played very well. He took India to the heights. It was tremendous to watch him."

The nephew of Javed Miandad also said the team was confident of handling Anil Kumble in the subsequent days. "We will handle him according to the situation. We are confident."

Pakistan came up with an inept performance on the field to compound their miseries. Wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal dropped Sachin Tendulkar when the batsman was on 28, but Iqbal said such things happen in cricket.
"In Test cricket, catches are dropped. We will try to do well tomorrow."

On paceman Sohail Tanvir bowling spin, he said, "Tanvir bowls spin in first class cricket. The pitch was not helping pacers so he tried spin. In Tests, you have to try everything during the match."
