Allegations
Reacting to the allegations made by the BJP leaders, Mr Muddahanumegowda said, in the politics played for gains, it is improper to behave as if a community is taken on a contract basis.
The Vokkaliga community is not a property of a political party, he said. Mr Sureshgowda had also challenged Mr Muddahanumegowda, to disclose his property details, during his tenure for two times as an MLA.
Reacting to this, Mr Muddahanumegowda said, he had been disclosing the details of his property from the days he was a judge. He also said that he had declared his assets, before the Election Commission. Every year, he declared his assets in the Income Tax Department, he added.
“The people of my political opponent’s constituency were curious to know from where did he (Sureshgowda) receive the money,” he said.
However, he said, he had never bothered about this issue.
