Man dies in road accident
A man riding a bike met with an accident on Thursday evening and died on spot. The incident took place near Laxmi temple on B H Road when a speeding canter rammed into the bike. While the man riding the bike died on spot, the driver of the canter fled the seen. Following the accident traffic was disrupted on the road for some time. Traffic police have registered the case.

Ex-president missing
Kunigal, DHNS: Former president of the taluk working journalists’ union and also that of the traders credit society K G Srinias has been reportedly missing from November 28. A complaint has been lodged by his brother K G Swami at Kunigal police station and investigation is on.

Dowry: woman ends life
Kunigal, DHNS: A woman, upset with the alleged dowry harassment by husband and mother-in-law, committed suicide in Kunigal.

The deceased has been identified as Shobha A Shivakumar. Shobha from Melukote had married to Srinivas of Madagonahalli. The mother of two boys was allegedly harassed by the husband and the mother-in-law Sakamma for dowry. Her brother has registered a complaint at Huliyurudurga police station and investigation is on.
