Winners all
Thirteen students from the Salonee School, Begur won distinction medals on the Janana Surbhi state level Mathematics Talent Examination conducted by the school. The exam was held on 8 September.
The Principal awarded the medals in a ceremonial function organized by the school. Speaking at the event he emphasized the need to keep abreast with the latest trends and methodology in teaching of mathematics, science and technology. He also dwelt upon the issue of handling children in a sensitive way and appealed to parents to do the same.
Nature camp
Green Army- The Environment cell of Christ College conducted a nature study cum trekking camp in the Chandragiri hills of Chikkaballapur forest ranges on December 2. Twenty seven volunteers accompanied by Dr Antony P U, the Co-ordinator of Green Army have undertaken field studies on biodiversity and geographical features of the area.
The students had field identification sessions of fishes of hillstreams and birds and fishes of high altitude
Paper-making
The Canadian International School organised a workshop on paper-making on December 3 by eminent artist Ravi Kumar Kashi.
The students learnt about various types of paper, how to make pulp, forming a sheet of paper, drying methods, creating exotic papers, pulp painting, watermark and creating 3D forms.
