Seagram’s 100 Pipers is presenting folk rock band, America, live in concert on December 9 at 6.30 pm at Palace Grounds (Gayatri Vihar entrance/Mekhri Circle)
Vocal concert
Sapthak, is organising a vocal concert by Chaitanya Bhat, a disciple of Pandit Parameshwar Hegde at Havyaka Sabha Bhavan, 8th Cross, 11th Main (near railway station), Malleshwaram on December 9 at 5.30 pm. This will be followed by a violin recital by Pandit Ratish Tagde, Mumbai.

Vagadheeshwari Kala Kendra is organising “Nandanamana”, a vocal music programme by Sukanya Prabhakar on Dec 9 at 6.15 pm at Sri Sharadha Pravachana Mandira, 13th main, Jayanagar 4th T block. She will be accomapnied by B Raghuram (violin), Renuka Prasad (mridangam), Karthik Mani (ghatam).

Sri Rama Lalitha Kala Mandira, 9th Main Road, Banashankari 2nd Stage is organising a vocal concert by T S Sathayavathi on the theme of Kananda kritis from 5 pm to 7.45 pm. She will be accompanied by C N Chandrashekhar (violin), Jayachandra Rao K U (mridanga) and Sukanya Ramgopal (ghatam).

Ananya is conducting Nirantara, a programme to encourage upcoming artistes.

Mohiniyattam
Under the Horizon/Every Friday Cultural Evening Programme the ICCR in collaboration with the Department of Kannada and Culture, Department of Youth Services and Sports and Youth Writers and Artistes Guild will be presenting a Mohiniyattam dance recital by Methil Devika, an ICCR Empanelled Dancer presently pursuing PH D in Dance at Bharatidasan University with research fellowship from Central Sangeetha Nataka Akademy on Dec 7 at 6.30 pm at Yavanika, State Youth Centre, Nrupathanga Road.
