World champions Germany entered the final of the Champions Trophy beating Malaysia 3-2 here on Thursday.
Germany have 16 points and even a loss to Australia on Saturday will not change the position.
Earlier, defending champions the Netherlands played out a thrilling 3-3 draw with Australia. The match started about an hour late due to heavy rains.
With both teams realising the need for a win in this match in order to make it to the final, it was a thrilling show from both teams. However, the draw would be a setback if Germany and Korea don’t lose their matches.
Australia now have ten points, while the Dutch are a point behind with nine.
European silver medallists Spain thrashed Great Britain 5-0.
The winners now have eight points and Britain have six.
After a rest day on Friday, the teams will play their last league matches on Saturday. The Dutch take on Pakistan, who drew with Korea 3-3 on Thursday. Also, Spain play Malaysia and Great Britain lock horns with South Korea.
