I am a 19-year-old boy. My height is 5'10". I weigh around 75 kgs. I am a normal healthy person. I consume lots of fruits however I recently started growing flab around my waist which looks awkward. Is it because of lack of activity or is it because of my diet? What should I do to reduce and get back into shape?
Flab is a pure sign of sedentary behaviour. You will need to start exercising. Perhaps an hour of walking for starters will be good. After a month or so of walking, you could start adding a sport and a fifteen min run/ jog to your walk. You are sure to see a noticeable reduction of flab in two to four months. However in order to get the torso region into shape, I would advice doing some sixty to seventy sit-ups per day with an increase in number once you are conditioned. It is hard work and a lot of pain, but I’m certain it will be completely worth it.
I am a 19-year-old boy. My height is 5.8 and I weigh 54 kg. I want to become a model. I look lean. I am a vegetarian; I exercise two hours everyday and even drink lots of water. Even if I lay my hands on whatever I can I am not able to put on weight. I am really worried. Please help me.
Putting on weight is as difficult as losing it. Please understand that food in one sense of the word does help in putting on weight, however in order to put on good quality weight, it has to be by building muscle. To achieve this, your best option would be to exercise and resistant training. It will not happen overnight so keep working out, like you are doing, and you will hopefully see the results soon.
