The Karnataka Administrative Officers Association, on Saturday, felicitated three KAS officers for their distinguished service. They currently hold senior portfolios.
The officers, B Parthasarathy, member, Karnataka State Human Rights Commission, Gonal Bheemappa, President, Karnataka Public Service Commission and N Ramakrishna, member, Karnataka Public Service Commission, were felicitated by Justice S R Nayak, Chairperson, Karnataka State Human Rights Commission. As many as 17 officers of the Karnataka Administrative Service who were promoted to the IAS cadre were also honoured on the occasion.
Felicitating the officers, Justice S R Nayak, Chairperson, Karnataka State Human Rights Commission said, KAS officers being promoted to the IAS cadre should not forget their birthplace and culture of Karnataka as they prepare to serve in various parts of the country. In his address, B Parthasarathy, member of the commission, said, uniformity in promotion of KAS officers to IAS cadre after eight years of service should be made applicable to all officers.
Speaking on the occasion, Gonal Bheemappa, President, KPSC said, examinations for the posts of gazetted probationers have taken place as per the guidelines. He denied that there were any discrepancies. “Allegations regarding corruption are far from reality,” Mr Bheemappa said.
