MEMORANDUM TO GOVERNOR
Prosecute land grabbers, says JD(U)
DH News Service,Bangalore:

 The JD(U) has urged Governor Rameshwar Thakur to prosecute all those who figure in the A T Ramaswamy Committee on land grabbing in Bangalore Urban and Rural districts. In a memorandum to Governor Rameshwar Thakur, JD(U) State President B Somashekhar pointed out that the report names 46,000 encroachers of government land including personalities belonging to families of politicians and industrialists. “Action should be initiated to prosecute them however powerful they are,” Mr Somashekhar said.

Other demands

Other demands by the party  include - staying the execution of the Sakrama scheme, restoration of land acquired by the Government to the dalit and the poor, cancelling the shifting of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) campus to Ramanagara and scrapping of Bidadi Integrated Township Project.
