Police have launched a manhunt for a person, who has either sold or leased houses and buildings he rented in Mysore.

The modus operandi of Channarayappa Ramachandra from Shidlaghatta in Kolar district  was to take houses on rent, fabricate documents and  lease or sell them.

After buying a house inVijayanagar Second Stage a few years back, he gained the confidence of the local people. After that he started some businesses and wound them up.  His sold or leased properties included a restaurant, six houses, a polyclinic and a hospital. Ramachandra got into trouble when one of the buyers started insisting on the sale deed of his house.

 Following a complaint, police learnt that  Ramachandra had left the city on October 5. They have launched a search in Bangalore, Shidlaghatta, Mumbai and Ooty. It is  suspected that officials of the sub registrar’s office had colluded with him.
