Twenty five people, including a software engineer and nine prostitutes, were arrested following raids in the city on Saturday evening.

A  decoy was sent to the house of Prema in Veerabhadra Nagar. Based on the information provided by the girls, Girinagar police raided Sai Guest House and BVK lodge in  City Market area. 

Sources said, Prema alias Bhavani alias Roopa was employed with a nationalised bank. Earlier, she was operating from Cholarapalya and Thippasandra and recently shifted to Girinagar.

The software engineer from Kerala and his friends were regular visitors to the lodges. The police seized 21 mobile phones, a four wheeler and a two wheeler and Rs 51,650 in cash.

Two nabbed
Sleuths of Central Crime Branch nabbed two persons who were supplying duplicate bidis of a particular brand in the State.

Police said Mohammed Sab (76) and his son Rijwan Pasha (35), residents of Kumaraswamy Layout, were arrested for supplying duplicate bidis of SK Bidi manufacturing company. When the police raided their residence, they found packets of SK bidi, and bundles of bidis worth Rs 1 lakh. Police have seized the material.
