Every religion preaches the same message of love and cordial relationship with fellow beings. People of all religions should live in harmony so that there is peace everywhere, he said. Food, education,  and medical facilities should be easily made available to everyone, he added.
Everyone should be service minded and understand the true meaning of life through spiritual way, said former legislator S M Muniappa. Taluk panchayat former president S Y Mariappa called upon people to serve the poor and the needy.
Music programme and bhajans were organised on the occasion.
