Hoodlums Raise Their Heads
Srinagar, Feb. 22.
A violent mob of 500 pro-Pakistan Political Conference and Plebiscite Front volunteers wearing party arm-bands attacked a National Conference workers’ rally and injured 37 persons at Hazratbal here last evening shortly after a Friday congregation had been addressed by Sheikh Abdullah at the shrine there.
Azad Passes Into History
New Delhi, Feb. 22.
Over half-a-million people belonging to all communities watched sorrowfully as the mortal remains of Maulana Azad were laid to rest in the parade grounds at 3:15 pm here this afternoon.
This marked the end of the glorious career of one of those few stalwarts of the nation.

Careful Watch On Prices

New Delhi, Feb. 22.
The economic survey for 1982-83, submitted to Parliament today, offers a fairly optimistic assessment of the current state of the economy, but strongly advocates a careful watch on the price situation and a comprehensive examination of the emerging problems in agriculture.
The coming year is likely to prove “difficult and challenging,” the economy has the necessary strength to cope with eventualities.
