Quality Council of India (QCI) on Friday conducted a programme on ‘Introducing Education Standards for the Accreditation of Schools.’
The objective of the programme awareness for school on accreditation and also sentise the parents and school managements about the same. About 75 schools from various parts of Bangalore participated. QCI Advisor Dr Thuppil Venkatesh said,” “Quality council of India has released a standard with a checklist where schools can go in for accreditation with the bodies like QCI.”
Schools’ accreditation will be done by thrid party auditing. Teachers will be trained for auditing but they cannot audit for their own school but can do it for other schools. “Once schools are accreditaed they get quality brand, which will increase the confidence of parents, students in the system,” Venkatesh said. This is first time the such programme has been conducted after the standards has been released.
