A remedy for every disease
DH News Service, Tumkur:
From common cold and fever to diabetes, cancer and heart problems - the cure for all diseases is found here!

A man suffering from heart problems was told by the doctor that he had no option but to undergo a bypass surgery.

There were others who had been consuming pills for treatment of high blood pressure and diabetes.

Last year, a huge number of people who were facing such problems participated in the nature cure by Sri Guru Basava Mahamane Basavananda Swamiji of Dharwad  in the ‘Spiritual and Health Discourse,’ which changed their entire way of life. With no surgery whatsoever, they are now leading a perfectly healthy life.

Basavananda Swamiji, who has already held a month-long camp at Mysore has now arrived in Tumkur. He spoke to Deccan Herald about the success story of the nature cure.

In today’s fast-paced world, safeguarding one’s health has become an important issue. Our food habits have also changed, and Basavananda Swamiji shares the secret of a sound body and a sound mind.

The camp will begin at the open air theatre in K R Layout, Tiptur, and will go on for a month. 772 people benefited - either directly or indirectly - from the camp held in Tumkur last year.

Fasting
The 21-day course was completely free. During this period the participant is not allowed to consume boiled food, alcohol, meat, coffee or tea.

The patient’s problems are diagnosed, and the appropriate diet is administered, or the patient may have to fast.

Fasting here does not mean that the patient has to go hungry; in stages, he or she is allowed to consume lemonade, honey, tender coconut (for three days), buttermilk for three days, fruit juice for three days, and only fruits for three days - in this way, the patient's system is purified.

Later, the participant fasts once a week to keep their health in check.

Lifestyle
Even working professionals have to spend three days’ time with the Swamiji, and can change their lifestyle - many professionals, who lead hectic lives, have witnessed a sea change in their way of life after taking this course.

Before the candidates enroll for the camp, the Swamiji takes up a counselling session with each of them.
The Swamiji, who believes that activity is the best remedy for all diseases, has been conducting these nature cure camps -drawn from his own experiences, books and ayurveda- for four years now.

Thousands of people have benefited from this treatment, says the Swamiji. He can be contacted on 94481-00282 or on 94482-42765.
