Indian men lost 1-2 to Pakistan to finish fourth while the women beat China 2-0 to finish fifth in the Asian Squash championship.
In the men's category, Saurav Ghosal defeated Yasir Butt 10-8, 4-9, 9-5, 9-1 in 52 minutes in the first singles match.
But Pakistan clinched the next two singles to win finish third behind Malaysia and Kuwait.
Pakistan's Bilal Zaman beat Siddharth Suchde 9-2, 7-9, 9-10, 9-5, 9-1 in 79 minutes and Majid Khan defeated Ritwik Bhattacharya 9-4, 1-9, 5-9, 9-3, 9-1 in 92 minutes.
In the final, Malaysia beat Kuwait 2-1.
