National award
Prof H M Jagadish, principal of Government First Grade College in Vijayanagar in Bangalore has won the prestigious Rashtriya Vidya Saraswathi Puraskar. He was honoured with the award in New Delhi recently.
International Institute of Education and Management in New Delhi has set up the award to recognise the contributions of the people in the field of education and administration. Former Andhra Pradesh governor Bhishma Narayan Singh presented the award.
Jagadish started his career as lecturer in Psychology in 1982. He has served in Maharani’s College for Women and Government Arts College. He was selected for the award in recognition of his contribution to the field of education and management.
