Speakers at the “Guruvandana” programme on Saturday, hailed the professionalism of State Advocate General B V Acharya.
Speaiing at the programme organised to mark the completion of 50 years of legal practice by Acharya, former Governor of Bihar B Rama Jois showered praises on Acharya for steadfastly upholding professional values and not “commercialising” the profession.
Asserting that every individual should pay back something to the society after attaining certain position in public life, Jois added that Acharya has fulfiled his task.
Lokayukta Santosh Hegde felt that Acharya was a model to the young advocatesl. Stating 50 years of service is a distinguished achievement in the career of any individual, Governor Rameshwar Thakur in his presidential address said that society is under obligation to recognise and honour people like Acharya for their service.
In his address, Acharya said that shifting of his legal practice to Bangalore was a turning point in his career.
