CoD to investigate Mallika case

Police are clueless about the looting of Rs 55 lakh from a house at Mahalakshmi Layout on Friday night. The two teams led by the ACPs of Malleswaram and Yeshwantpur sub-divisions have been constituted to nab the culprits.

  The Corps of Detectives will be asked to investigate Mallika (43) case, according to a senior police officer.

Mallika, the first woman serial killer, had confessed to killing over two dozen people during the polygraph test.
Hence, the CoD will be requested to take over the investigation.

Police clueless
Police are clueless about the looting of Rs 55 lakh from a house at Mahalakshmi Layout on Friday night.
The two teams led by the ACPs of Malleswaram and Yeshwantpur sub-divisions have been constituted to nab the culprits.

Police suspect that the criminals are from  the city as they were speaking “Bangalore Kannada”.  They had also  told Chikke Chennaiah, a civil contractor, that they got information from one of his well-wishers that he kept huge cash at home.

Three killed
A two-year-old boy and his father were killed in a road accident when a truck rammed into their moped on the Bangalore-Tumkur national highway on Friday. Chandrashekhar (25) and his son Sujay were killed while Surya Kala, wife of Chandrashekar, was seriously injured. Police said, the family was returning home after attending a fair in Madenahalli village.

In another accident, Nadia (6) died on the spot after the auto toppled near Anchepalya on Bangalore-Mysore highway near Bidadi. The deceased’s mother Shakeela is being treated for injuries.
