“There are good Kannada medium schools even in cities like Bangalore. Some of the Kannada medium schoolchildren, who have studied in government schools, are doing extremely well, even better than students who have studied in English medium schools,” he noted.
Tumkur district Sessions Magistrate Siddappa asked the lawyers to use Kannada language even in courts. It is unfortunate that some of the advocates present their case in English in courts after collecting information from the clients in Kannada. Senior advocate Muralidhara Pai opined that using Kannada language in courts will not only help the language but it will also be a great help for the clients.
