Kannadigas told to work towards growth of Kannada
DH News Service, Turuvekere:
The second Turuvekere taluk Kannada Sahitya Sammelan concluded here on Saturday with the Kannada Sahitya Parishat President Chandrashekhara Patil calling upon people to work towards the growth of the language.

“There are good Kannada medium schools even in cities like Bangalore. Some of the Kannada medium schoolchildren, who have studied in government schools, are doing extremely well, even better than students who have studied in English medium schools,” he noted.

Tumkur district Sessions Magistrate Siddappa asked the lawyers to use Kannada language even in courts. It is unfortunate that some of the advocates present their case in English in courts after collecting information from the clients in Kannada. Senior advocate Muralidhara Pai opined that using Kannada language in courts will not only help the language but it will also be a great help for the clients. Sammelana President K Byrappa thanked everyone for making it a grand success.
