CoD sleuths took terror suspect Mohammed Kutty alias Yahya Khan to Castle Rock forest, situated between Dharwad and Goa in Western Ghats for inquiry on Sunday.
Yahya along with other terror accused Asadulla Abubakkar, Mohammed Asif and Shakeel allegedly held Jehadi meetings in the Castle Rock forest.
The CoD team, lead by DySP S S Khot, interrogated Khan on the locations where he organised the meetings. Reliable sources said the CoD team also conducted panchanama of some places, where the terror suspects met. Sources said Khan had confessed that he visited Castle Rock and other places in North Karnataka to recruit sleeper cells for executing militant plans. Khan had a good network of SIMI activists in Bangalore and Kerala and had a close contact with the most wanted terrorist, Adnan from Bijapur, sources added.
The CoD police, who interrogated Asif and Shakeel, tried to get information about ‘hidden ammunition’ in the district. But they had not disclosed anything.
