Police Fire On HAL Workers: One Killed
Bangalore, Feb. 25.
The Police opened fire this evening to disperse “a violent crowd” of employees of the Hindustan Aircraft Ltd, between Domlur village and the factory as result of which one person, who received bullet wounds, succumbed to the injuries late in the night.
According to non-official sources, the name of the victim was Pandyan Achari, a resident of the Subedar Chattram Road, and a worker of the HAL. Till late in the night official confirmation was not forthcoming as to the exact number of the injured.
Bus Plunges Into Well Killing 64
Hindupur, Feb. 25.
Sixty Four persons were killed in a serious bus accident, which occurred at Lochaila in Penukonda Taluk, last night according to reports reaching here today.
It is reported that the passenger bus, carrying 70 persons plunged into a deep well, after collision with way-side date trees.

US admits Sino-Pak N-axis
Washington, Feb. 25.
The US State Department has acknowledged that China and Pakistan have reached a “nuclear relationship.” Mr Howard and B Schaffer, Deputy Secretary of State for South Asia and the Middle East, confirmed this at a public hearing of the Foreign Affairs Sub-Committee on Asia and the Pacific on Wednesday.
