He was speaking after performing the ground-breaking ceremony for the Rs five lakh worth check dam construction works at Chikkapura in Gullahalli Gram  Panchayat near Bangarepret.

He felt the need for providing education to children in the border areas near Tamil Nadu where the poor are in majority.

He appreciated the previous coalition government for fulfiling most of the demands for developmental works put forth after the formation of new Betamangala Assembly Constituency.
