Apply for TAN on Feb 28
The Income Tax Department has said several government departments and local bodies have not secured the Tax Deduction and Collection Account Number (TAN) though it is a must for filing TDS statements. 

All government departments and panchayats should apply on Feb 28 for the same at the special counter set up at 4th floor, HMT Building, Bellary Road, near Mekhri Circle, Bangalore between 10 am and 5 pm. Call 23550555.

Expo set to open
‘Karnataka Waterscapes’, a photo expo by Karnataka Tourism will be inaugurated by Indian test captain Anil Kumble on February 27 at Venkatappa Art Gallery. It will be on till March 4. It will showcase 101 vivid frames of Karnataka’s waterbodies captured by photographer Keshav Vitla.
