Head constable killed in mishap
DH News Service, Bangalore:
Two people, including a head constable, were killed in separate road accidents on Tuesday night.

Police said head constable Chandraiah was killed and constable Dayananda and vehicle driver Dayananda were seriously injured when their vehicle met with an accident on Hesaraghatta road.

The second accident Mahaveer Mathur (38), a native of Bihar, was killed and Chakravarty was injured when a vehicle hit their motorbike on Neeladri Park Road on Tuesday night.

House burgled
Burglars struck at a house and made away with a booty valued at Rs 6 lakh at Basaveshwara Nagar on Tuesday night. Niranjana Murthy, had locked his house and gone to Yelahanka to meet his relative on Tuesday night. He returned in the morning and found his house burgled.

Techie robbed
A software engineer with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) was  assaulted and  robbed of his cell phone at Airport Road on Tuesday night.

 Bhargava had taken a drop in the car after seeing off his friend at the airport.  The driver allegedly assaulted Bhargava and robbed his cell phone.

Airport police have registered a case.
