AT A GLANCE

Murder suspected
Chintamani, DHNS:  A strong suspicion has arisen that the three people killed in Monday night’s accident may have been murdered.
Though the two-wheeler had suffered no major damage, the three men were killed on the spot. All the three bodies had head injuries. 

Someone must have brought the bodies and dumped it on the road to give an impression that it was an accident.
The truth would be known only after the post mortem report comes out.

Houses gutted
Chintamani, DHNS:  Two houses were gutted in a fire that broke out on Tuesday night at Barlahalli in Nandiganahalli Gram Panchayat limits in the taluk. The houses belonged to one Mr Krishnappa. Eight loads of hay stack worth Rs 20,000 belonging to one Mr Munireddy was also gutted in the fire.

Fire engine rushed to the spot and doused the fire.

A case has been registered at Kencharlahalli police station. The reason for the accident is not yet known.

Meeting today
Mulbagal, DHNS:  A Public contact meeting will be held under the leadership of district Incharge and Chief Secretary (Transport Department) D Thangaraj at Byrakoor on Thursday.

Tahsildhar Harishipla said that Deputy Commissioner, CEO, district police superintendent and other district and taluk level officers will participate in the meeting.
