The who’s who from India’s politics, business and entertainment industry queued up to bless Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh's eldest son and political heir Amit and television actress Aditi Ghorpade who tied knot at a grand ceremony on Thursday.
Amit is a chemical engineer and presides over Vikas cooperative sugar factory in Latur district as its chairman. Aditi is a Bangalorean and is a commerce graduate. Her father Prataprao Ghorpade is wellknown in Bangalore. He is metallurgical engineer from IIT Kharagpur and works in a Japanese company in Bangalore.
The Ghorpade family, although originally from Maharashtra, had settled in Karnataka centuries back. Aditi has acted in serials like Saat Phere, Maan, Dil se Dosti, Love Marriage, Hatim Tai and Rishton ki Dor. The actress made her acting debut in Koshish Ek Asha.
Amit's younger brother Ritesh Deshmukh is a wellknown Bollywood actor. According to Aditi’s relatives, Amit and Aditi met each other during the shoot of a television ad campaign last year and fell in love.
