At a time when every other heroine in Bhojopuri films has been imported from down South, like Naghma, Rambha, Divya Desai, Sadhika Randhawa etc Hritikka Sharma has come like a whiff of fragrance and hails from the North. This Mathura born lass is making her bow in Bhojpuri films with Rama Shankar Raju's directed film Tohee Ganga Ka Payar. She is playing Ganga, a school teacher who wants to bring in reforms and developments in the village.

Apart from Bhojpuri films she is also doing a Hindi Film Lipstick-The Blood and Bhojpuri music video albums like Laagal Solahva Saal, directed by A K Shrivastava and director Avinash Parvat's next . Acting in video albums is not new for her, she has already appeared in singer Anwar's Tohfa earlier.
