Two officials in Lokayukta net

Bangalore, dhns: Two corrupt officials fell into the Lokayukta trap on Saturday. BDA Assistant Engineer S R Sridhar was caught red-handed accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000 from Wajid Pasha. The AE had demanded Rs one lakh for not demolishing Wajid’s building, constructed on a disputed land on Banneraghatta road. Wajid had approached Lokayukta officials, who laid the trap.

The Lokayukta also nabbed AGO Shankar, junior engineer of BESCOM for accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from Thimmaiah Shetty of Kempegowda Nagar, for providing power connection.
