Inaugurating a training programme for mothers of children in the age group of 0 to 3 years at the office of the Child Development Programme he said that a child’s health should be constantly monitored by mothers and periodically examined by doctors.
Children’s specialist Dr Umesh instructed about the common ailments from which the children suffered and said that children should be protected from cold cough and fever.
Child Development Project Officer Nataraj, who presided over the inaugural function said that children are the asset of the nation and they need to be protected. According to a survey six per cent of children die. Care should be taken during pregnancy, he added. Assistant CDPO Omkarappa, Sunandamma and Pramila conducted the training programme.
