He was speaking after inaugurating NSS special camp organised by the TVV First Grade College in Maraballi village.
Principal T N Srikantamurty said that power of youth should be channelled into constructive works in the Society.
NSS camps help the students in imbibing values of life such as co-operation, equality and generosity, he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Litterateur M L Narasimhamurty felt the need of developing villages which in turn support the development of urban areas.
He also said that the country will have to pay for its negligence towards the development of the village.
Apex Bank former chairman M N Nagabhushan presided over the programme while Taluk Panchayat members Henjarappa and Manjunath, the Taluk Journalists’ Association President Somashekhar also spoke on the occasion.
Journalist Chandrakant, women’s unit camp officer V Padmavatamma and the camp officer C Krishnappa were present on the occasion.
