“A Kannada government should henceforth rule the state not a Karnataka government” opined Kannada Sahitya Parishat President Chandrashekar Patil.
He was speaking after inaugurating the Gadinadu Kannada Jagruti Convention organised by Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (KRV) at Government PU college grounds in Malur on Sunday.
“There is a need for regional parties in the state as the national parties which have ruled the state for the past 60 years have not developed the state. Hence there is a need for a government formed by the regional parties which can strive for the development of the Kannada land, language and culture”, expressed Chandrashekar Patil.
“Brave Kannadigas are ever ready to fight for the honour of their language if there are any attempts made to tarnish it”, expressed Karnataka Rakshana Vedike State President T A Narayana Gowda who spoke on the occasion.
Film Director C R Manohar, Zilla Panchayat member G E Rame Gowda and former Taluk Panchayat member R Prabhakar were felicitated on the occasion.
