Indian shot dead in store robbery
A 52-year-old Indian manager of a convenience store was shot dead during an attempted robbery in Virginia, US.
Jayeshkumar Brahmbhatt, who moved to Roanoke county from India in 2001, was fatally shot on Thursday by a man who fled without taking any money, police said.
Police arrested Calvin Bond Watson, 51, and charged him with murder.
Brahmbhatt, who is survived by his wife and two daughters, had been planning to move into a one-story house in North Roanoke County next week. “He worked very hard to build his life and it all went for nothing,” said Asit Inamdar, Brahmbhatt’s nephew.

Prince William is planning a romantic snowy getaway with his Canadian girlfriend Kate Middleton.
According to the Daily Mail, William and Kate will be heading off to the Swiss resort of Klosters next month for a skiing trip. The newspaper denied reports that the couple are going through a rocky patch in their relationship. “They talk on the phone pretty much every day. And they were together only the other week,” said the report.
