Royal Challengers — the team representing Bangalore in the Indian Premier League — has roped in veteran Karnataka left-arm spinner Sunil Joshi into their squad.
Joshi joins state-mates R Vinay Kumar, Manish Pandey, B Akhil, Devraj Patil, KP Appanna, Bharath Chipli in the squad. Former State skipper J Arun Kumar, who has been playing for Goa in the domestic circuit, too has been included in the team.
“We were looking for an experienced campaigner who can soak in the pressure and Joshi fitted the bill perfectly.
We believe, Joshi can contribute meaningfully with his four overs in the T20 version as well,” Royal Challengers’ CEO, Charu Sharma said. Joshi is currently in Chennai, playing the South Zone one-dayers for Subbaiah Pillai Trophy.
